  1. Christmas Tree Disposal

Waste Management will collect, remove and dispose of all Christmas trees placed at the curb in January and February, on the regular garbage/recycling collection day (Mondays).  Trees must be cut into lengths no greater than six feet.

If you would like to recycle your Christmas trees, the Allegheny County Department of Parks Christmas tree recycling program runs through January 16th, between dawn and dusk.  The trees will be mulched and used in the County's parks.  Trees must be free of lights, decorations, tinsel and stands before dropping them off.  Local drop-off locations include:  Hartwood Acres Park (parking lot at mansion), and North Park (parking lot at the swimming pool).
