Department of Community Development
The Department of Community Development is responsible for developing, implementing and enforcing township land use policies, ordinances, and regulations; administering federal and state mandated programs; processing and issuing building, zoning and other development permits; providing building inspections and plan reviews; and carrying out other long-range community development programs. The department also serves as liaison and provides staff support to the Environmental Advisory Council, Planning Commission, and the Zoning Hearing Board.
