From June 29th through noon July 4th the Township was proud to have had the opportunity to host the American Veterans Traveling Tribute- Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall.
To the so many of you, from the volunteer Ambassadors, to those who helped assemble and disassemble the wall, to the Township’s Administrative Staff and employees who helped coordinate this event and who then gave countless hours of personal time--- WE THANK YOU! Without your help this opportunity would not have been possible and we cannot begin to thank you enough for how proud you have made us feel.
Honor, Respect, Remember was our focus and goal behind bringing this Memorial to Hampton. Your actions in helping us obtain this goal were not only amazing, they were a daily display of what we were trying to and did accomplish for our Vietnam Veterans.
To all our Veterans, not only those from Vietnam but all those who have and continue to serve today, you are what makes this country’s freedom possible and we thank you. To those who visited this Memorial, we hope you experienced some closure from the events of this war.
Thank you for your service from a grateful nation who we hope now clearly realizes what you stood for and did for us. (Please visit our website's photo gallery to view some photos taken during the Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall visit and Community Day)
