On October 8, 2017 at 2:07a.m., a Hampton Township officer observed a vehicle traveling on Route 8. Multiple times the vehicle changed lanes without utilizing turn signals. The vehicle was also unable to maintain a consistent speed, and was traveling well above the speed limit at times. A traffic stop was initiated, and upon making contact with the driver, the officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. The operator was unable to complete field sobriety tests as had been explained and demonstrated and was placed under arrest for DUI.
