Enjoy a family friendly guided tour of the Hampton Depreciation Lands Museum and Cemetery (4743 S. Pioneer Road, Allison Park) by lantern light on Saturday, October 21 & 28!!
You will be treated with Tall tales, superstitions and customs from the past.
The villagers of Talley Cavey are still talking about that well dressed stranger at the harvest dance last week. Well, who ever he really was, it has prompted them to share their true - and legendary - tales of how to best Old Scratch, the devil himself! You will meet residents in every building and hear their tales, finishing with a tour through the cemetery. Then head to the Deacon's Tavern for hot cider and cookies. You never know who you may meet there, too!
The Deacon, our resident, benevolent ghost, just may be out this night also. If you catch a glimpse of him, be sure to mark the location on the map in the Tavern.
Arrive anytime between 6pm and 9pm (no reservations). Tours depart every 10 minutes; allow 1 hour for your tour. Tours continue reagardless of weather.
