On Thursday, November 30th, the Township received notice from Hampton EMS that effective at midnight, they would cease operations with regard to answering emergency medical service calls.
Beginning at 8:00 a.m. this morning (December 1st), a Shaler EMS unit was relocated into the Hampton Police Building on McCully Road where it will operate on a 24 hour / 7 day a week basis until further notice. It is unfortunate that this action was necessary, but Hampton residents should rest assured that top of the line emergency medical services are in place in Hampton, and will be available should they be needed.
Should you be holding a Hampton EMS subscription, it will be honored by the Shaler EMS until they send out their annual subscription drive next September.
