Vulakovich enews

Vulakovich said the outreach is available by appointment at his office with a Veteran’s Service Officer (VSO) who can assist veterans and their families by answering questions and providing information on the wide range of federal, state and local benefits that are available to them.

VSOs are trained and accredited by the Veterans Administration (VA) to assist veterans, their dependents and survivors by filing disability claims, obtaining military records and accessing programs and services including: healthcare assistance, education benefits, burial benefits, and housing.

VSOs also provide guidance and assistance in filing VA claims and will help veterans and their families present their claims during VA hearings.

“This is a great resource for veterans and their families in obtaining benefits that can be helpful to them,” Vulakovich said.  “My staff and I are happy to serve as a liaison in this effort to assist those who have served our country.”

For more information and to schedule an appointment, contact Senator Vulakovich at his Shaler Township Municipal Building, 300 Wetzel Road, Second Floor, Suite 302, Glenshaw, PA 15116, phone number (412) 487-6600.
