On May 16, 2018 at 9:08 p.m., Hampton Township officers responded to Chardonnay Circle for a hit and run that had just occurred. The reporting party stated that a vehicle had just struck their vehicle, which had been legally parked on the roadway. The responding officer encountered a vehicle matching the description as he was approaching the accident scene. The vehicle had damage conducive to the reported vehicle accident. Upon conducting a traffic stop on the vehicle, the operator showed visible signs of impairment and the officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. The operator was asked to submit to field sobriety tests, which she was unable to complete as had been explained and demonstrated and was placed under arrest for DUI.
