On August 23, 2018 at 8:06 a.m., officers were dispatched to Route 8 near McCully Road for a single vehicle accident. Upon the officer's arrival, the involved driver denied injury and stated that he was driving southbound on Route 8 when he observed a vehicle turning left up ahead. As he slowed his vehicle, the load of granite that he was towing shifted forward and struck the cab of his truck. After utilizing a boom crane to re-position the load, the operator was able to continue on his way.
