[ARCHIVED] Hampton Council September Meeting Actions

Council sept actions Fall 1

Hampton Township Council held their Regular Meeting on September 26th; actions from the meeting included, but not limited to:

- Shaler Hampton EMS, UPMC St. Margaret and the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Association were present to recognize Leo Butcher and the first responders who assisted in his of out of hospital cardiac arrest.

- Approved the 2019 Minimum Municipal Obligations for the General Employees, General Employees Defined Contribution, and the Police Pension Plans.

- Granted A. Liberoni's request for exemption from the noise ordinance regarding the Duncan Avenue Resurfacing Project. It is anticipated that this project will begin mid-October, with the majority of the work (milling, base repairs, asphalt) to be completed between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. ,and will take approximately three to four weeks to complete.

- Approved the World War II Exhibit Agreement with the Heinz History Center.  The exhibit will be on display at the Hampton Community Center from October 11th through November 27th during normal Community Center hours.

- Approved an agreement with the Allegheny County Health Department.

- Decertified the current part-time police officer eligibility list and authorized the advertisement and acceptance of applications for said position.

- Adopted Resolution No. 997 revising the existing parking regulations in the Hampton Terrace Plan to "no parking November 1st through April 1st, 12 midnight to 7 a.m."

- A presentation was held regarding the concept of an implementable comprehensive plan.

- Approved the request for an after-hours construction request by Wildwood Sports Center to work two consecutive weekends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. for the purpose of a sanitary sewer line project.

- Enacted Ordinance No. 811 pertaining to Massage Therapy Establishments.

- Tabled the enactment of the proposed Medical Marijuana Ordinance to October 24, 2018.

- Enacted Ordinance No. 812 creating a Uniform Construction Code Board of Appeals.

- Continued the public hearing regarding the proposed Solar Panels Ordinance to October 24, 2018.

- Discussed the following upcoming community events - Depreciation Lands Museum Hydref on Saturday, October 6th, from 11 am - 4 pm; Manager's Coffee Conversations scheduled for October 11th, 7:00 p.m. at the Allison Park Wastewater Pollution Control Plant (2536 Toner Avenue, Allison Park); and the Hampton Halloween Parade scheduled for Saturday, October 20th, starting at 12:00 p.m.
