Council December meeting actions

Hampton Township Council held their Regular Meeting on Wednesday, December 19th; actions from the meeting included, but not limited to:

- Enacted Ordinance No. 819 establishing the 2019 Real Estate Tax Millage - Total Millage Rate - 2.9241 (1.9790 - general operating purposes; 0.7415 - capital improvement purposes; 0.2036 - fire purposes)

- Enacted Ordinance No. 820 adopting the 2019 General Fund Budget

- Enacted Ordinance No. 821 adopting the 2019 Capital Improvement Fund Budget

- Enacted Ordinance No. 822 amending the sanitary sewer capital fee (fees to be amended in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022)

- Accepted a proposal from First National Bank regarding the 2019 Tax and Revenue Anticipation Note at 2.57% on a $2,000,000 Note

- Authorized the advertisement for the 2019 Organization Meeting to be held Monday, January 7th at 7:00 p.m., and the January Agenda Meeting to be held Wednesday, January 9th at 7:30 p.m.

- Authorized the pursuit of the reconfiguration of the Municipal Data Center and Municipal Building access control through the Capital Improvement Budget

- Certified the volunteer firefighters eligible under Act 172 to claim local tax credits

- Appointed Timothy Shutzman to a five (5) year term and Richard Dunlap to an unexpired one (1) year term to the Hampton Shaler Water Authority

- Adopted Resolution No. 999 authorizing the purchase of 3788-3790 Mt. Royal Blvd. for the purpose of the new Glannon Pump Station

- Appointed Kevin M. Flannery to the position of Community Services Director upon the retirement of the current Director

- Appointed Jeff Cupelli to the position of full-time police officer

- Approved a professional services contract with Hoffman Kennels for dog control services

- Adopted Resolution No. 1000 amending the Comprehensive Traffic Ordinance

- Authorized the purchase of two new dump trucks with snow/ice control equipment and one 21-ton heavy haul trailer with ramps as part of the 2019 Capital Improvement Budget

- Approved the Sheetz Change of Use to add a restaurant to their commercial retail business at 5300 Route 8

- Approved the Lightbridge Academy Revised Site Plan/Subdivision to redevelop the former Max & Erma's property at 5150 Route 8.  Improvements will include the construction of a new 12,400 s.f. two story daycare facility with an outdoor play area and conversion of the existing restaurant structure to use as retail space as well as other site improvements

- Adopted Resolution No. 1001 amending the Land Development fee schedule

- Adopted Resolution No. 1002 approving a liquor license transfer request for the Wildwood Sports Center

- Accepted the Windmont Farms public hearing extension request to February 13, 2019

- Discussed the upcoming community events, which included the Hampton Community Opioid Partnership Summit to be held January 15th at the Hampton Community Center, and the Hampton Community Library Annual Chili Cook Off to be held January 26th
