On April 27th members of Girl Scout troop 53245 will be installing a gaga ball pit at Hampton Community Park as part of their Silver Award project. These seventh and eighth grade girls have recently been working on their Silver Award project, the second highest level of accomplishment in the Girl Scout community. For their project, they will be installing a gaga ball pit, which will be built between the pavilion by the tennis courts and the new basketball courts. A gaga ball pit is an octagonal structure where a variation of dodgeball is played. This is a sustainable addition to the community that solves the problem of not having activities for adults and children to play together. After the installation, other members of their troop will be hosting an opening party, and rules will be posted on the exterior of the structure.
