On April 27, 2019 at 11:25 p.m., Hampton Township Police were dispatched to Route 8 for a vehicle damage report. Upon the officer's arrival, they were advised by the reporting party that there was a large object in the roadway that caused damage to their vehicle. The responding officer located a deceased black bear in the roadway, which was removed.
