[ARCHIVED] Hampton Council May Meeting Actions

Hampton Township Council held their Regular Meeting on Wednesday, May 22nd; actions from the meeting included, but not limited to:

- Recognized the 90th Anniversary of Boy Scout Troop #17

- Appointed the following new board/commission members:  Julie Fritsch to the Zoning Hearing Board Alternate position for a term ending December 31, 2019; Dane Estok to the Environmental Advisory Council for a term ending December 31, 2021; Erin Stroud to the Hampton Community Association for a term ending December 31, 2019, and Reema Troiana to the Hampton Community Association for a term ending December 31, 2020

- Enacted Ordinance No. 823 adopting a new Personnel Policy Manual

- Adopted Resolution No. 1012 establishing new traffic control regulations at Mohawk Drive and Cheyenne Court (adding a new sign "except right turn" below the "stop" sign on Mohawk Drive to allow eastbound traffic to continue forward movement to Middle Road)

- Adopted Resolution No. 1013 establishing new traffic control regulations on Talley Cavey Road at Denbigh Court (adding a "stop" sign on Talley Cavey Road facing eastbound traffic at Denbigh Court, with an additional sign reading "except right turn" below the "stop" sign to allow eastbound traffic to continue forward movement to Wildwood Road Extension)

- Authorized the pursuit of an engineering study regarding the Hampton Athletic Association request for safety nets at the Hampton Baseball Complex

- Accepted the donation of property at Lot & Block No. 948-K-250 (Hemlocks Plan)

- Authorized the advertisement of a proposed ordinance taking over Wembleton Drive

- Authorized the advertisement of a public hearing for July 10, 2019 regarding a proposed Oil & Gas Ordinance

- Authorized the advertisement of a proposed Geophysical and Seismic Testing Ordinance

- Authorized the pursuit of possible changes to the Zoning Ordinance relative to Zoning Inspections

- Discussed upcoming community events, which included the Memorial Day Service scheduled for May 27th, 10 am at the Veterans Memorial; the Farmers Market beginning on Wednesday, June 5th 3-7 pm (every Wednesday through October 16th), and the Food Truck in the Park scheduled for June 5th 3-7 pm
