On November 26, 2014 at 7:35 pm Hampton Twp Police took a fraud report from a Township resident. The caller reported that he had DISH Satellite installed recently. He said approximately a week later he received a phone call from a man saying he worked for DISH and that he owed DISH a $150.00 security deposit fee. The male stated to send the money by Western Union to Pakistan and that DISH Corporate offices were in Pakistan and that is where the money had to be sent. The caller was advised that companies like Dish Network do not ask for money to be sent by Western Union and especially out of the country. Hampton Twp residents should be aware of these scams and can also file reports with stopfraud.gov and the FTC.
