On July 10, 2019 at 8:02 a.m., Hampton Township Police responded to Route 8 for a vehicle that had been damaged by items that fell off of the back of a truck. Upon the responding officer's arrival, a disabled vehicle was located on the side of the road. The operator stated that large, metal items fell off of the back of a truck that was traveling north in front of him on Route 8 and struck his vehicle. The one item became lodged into the undercarriage of the vehicle, which disabled it. It was then discovered that two other vehicles had been damaged by the unsecured load, one of which was also disabled as a result of the damage. Two vehicles were towed from the scene.
