Council August Actions

Hampton Township Council held their Regular Meeting on Wednesday, August 28th; actions from the meeting included, but not limited to:

- Accepted the proposal from The HDH Group (a Hub International company) for its 2019/2020 commercial/general insurance coverages

- Authorized the advertisement of a proposed Knox Box Ordinance, requiring commercial businesses and apartment complexes to install a knox box for emergency first responder access purposes

- Adopted Resolution No. 1016 increasing the Community Center Daily Open Gym fee to $3.00

- Authorized repairs to the salt storage building, not to exceed $25,000, through the Capital Improvement Fund

- Authorized the replacement of Community Center junction boxes, not to exceed $12,500, through the Capital Improvement Fund

- Authorized the advertisement regarding the Hamlet Drive sanitary sewer extension project

- Approved the Roice Executive Building Revised Site Plan, regarding the redevelopment of the existing vacant building located at 4678 Route 8 to convert to a retail use

- Approved the Amusement License request for the Just Between Friends consignment sale at the Wildwood Sports Complex from September 25 through 30, 2019

- Enacted Ordinance No. 826 updating the Zoning Ordinance, eliminating the requirement for zoning inspections

- Enacted Ordinance No. 827 updating the oil & gas regulations in the Zoning Ordinance

- Discussed upcoming events, including the Farmers Market held every Wednesday from 3-7 pm, Dog Day at the Hampton Pool to be held September 8th from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m., and the Comprehensive Plan Public Meeting scheduled for September 25, 2019, 7:00 p.m. at the Hampton Community Center
