Hampton Township Council held their Regular meeting on Wednesday, December 18th; actions from the meeting included, but not limited to:
- Enacted Ordinance No. 830 establishing 2020 real estate tax millage rates (total Township tax millage: 2.9241)
- Enacted Ordinance No. 831 adopting the 2020 General and Other Funds Budget
- Enacted Ordinance No. 832 adopting the 2020 Capital Improvement Fund Budget. Some projects in the Budget include (dependent on funding): digital speed enforcement signs; $1 million road resurfacing program; Community Center interior updates; Phase 1 of the Clearview Road bridge (at Route 8) replacement; Topnick Drive sidewalk from the High School football field and outdoor basketball area; and Community Pool renovations to the Ladies Room, Men's Showers in Bathhouse, as well as water feature and shade structure structures.
- Accepted a bid from First National Bank regarding the Township's 2020 Tax and Revenue Anticipation Note ($2,000,000 Note at a rate of 1.79%)
- Authorized the advertisement of the January 6, 2020 (7:00 pm) Organization Meeting, and the January 8, 2020 (7:30 pm) Agenda Meeting
- Accepted the Jordan Tax Service Stormwater Fee billing and collection proposal
- Adopted Resolution No. 1020 amending the Police Pension Plan, reducing the participant contribution to three (3%) percent effective January 1, 2020
- Certified the list of volunteer firefighters eligible under Act 172 to claim local tax credits
- Adopted Resolution No. 1021 amending the Memorandum of Understanding Terms and Conditions of Employment for the Municipal Manager
- Adopted Resolution No. 1022 establishing 2020 rates for engineering consulting and legal counsel services
- Certified a new Part-time Police Officer Eligibility List
- Adopted Resolution No. 1023 amending the Memorandum of Understanding Terms and Conditions of Employment for the Police Chief
- Authorized the purchase of two (2) 2020 Department of Community Services trucks through the 2020 Capital Improvement Fund Budget
- Authorized the advertisement for bids regarding the 2020 Road Resurfacing Program and Topnick Drive Sidewalk Project
- Authorized the advertisement for bids regarding the Glannon Pump Station Project
- Approved the 3940 Middle Road Interior-Only Conditional Use (19-08), establishing a jewelry repair and retail business as well as to open a sit-down cafe' called the Three Little Birds Cafe' and Juice Bar
- Approved the Windmont Farms Final Planned Residential Development (19-09) containing 69 total units (40 single-family homes, 28 duplex units, and one existing home) located at the intersection of S. Pioneer and W. Hardies Roads.
- Authorized the advertisement of the Klaas public hearing to be held January 22, 2020
- Amended the Crown Castle non-wireless tower motion as recommended by legal counsel
- Discussed upcoming events, including the Hampton Community Library Annual Chili Cook-Off scheduled for January 25th, and the Hampton Community Association Bonfire & Sled Riding Party scheduled for February 1st
