Hampton Township Council held their Regular Meeting on Wednesday, February 26th; actions from the meeting included, but not limited to:

  • Enacted Ordinance No. 833 adopting a schedule of fees for collection of unpaid taxes, tax claims, tax liens, municipal claims, and municipal liens
  • Amended the current Waste Management contract by removing glass from the curbside recyclables collection stream
  • Approved an agreement with PA Resource Council to hold two glass recycling pop-up events, scheduled for June 6, 2020 and October 10, 2020 (9 am - 2 pm at the Swimming Pool Parking Lot - more information to follow on the Township’s website under "Glass Recycling Pop-Up Collection Events - PRC")
  • Approved a fee increase for Police and General Employees’ Pension consulting services through AndCo
  • Approved a proposal from Elexana Electromagnetic Solutions regarding a RF Electromagnetic Assessment Study for the Haberlein Road/Marie Drive area
  • Authorized the advertisement of a proposed ordinance updating the Township’s current cable agreement with Comcast.  Proposed ordinance and agreement to be considered during Council’s March agenda
  • Awarded contracts regarding the 2020 Road Resurfacing Program (Roads to be resurfaced: Ash Drive, Bronwyn Court, Camberly Drive, Catherine Drive, Cheltenham Court, Hanna Way, Harvest Lane, Harvest Lane 2, Meadowridge Court, Meadowridge Lane, Mina Drive, Murray Avenue, Naomi Terrace, Prince Phillip Court, Ranalli Drive, Shadowood Court, Skyline Drive)
  • Awarded contracts to E-Z Excavating and State Pipe regarding the Annual Construction Equipment and Sanitary Line Cleaning Equipment Rental Bid Program
  • Tabled the consideration of proposed amendments to the Street Opening Regulations until April, 2020
  • Approved the Girl Scout Day Camp Service Project to install a Butterfly Flower Garden near the Meadow Field and Grubbs Pavilion
  • Tabled the consideration of revisions to the McCully Baseball Field Complex Agreement
  • Authorized the advertisement for bids regarding the Herron Road Remediation Project through the Capital Improvement Program Budget
  • Awarded a contract to Vogel Disposal for sludge hauling at the Water Pollution Control Plant
  • Authorized the advertisement of a proposed ordinance related to the Klaas Zoning Text Amendment
  • Authorized the advertisement of a public hearing regarding the Eat ’N Park Conditional Use (20-01)
  • Authorized the advertisement of a public hearing regarding the North Park Sports Complex Conditional Use (20-02)
  • Discussed upcoming events, including the Library’s Trivia Night scheduled for March 20th, Hampton Litter / Clean-Up Day scheduled for March 28th, Police Citizens Academy beginning April 2nd, and the Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for April 4th
