[ARCHIVED] TRAFFIC ALERT - ROUTE 8 RESTORATION/PAVING PROJECT TO BEGIN MAY 4TH

Beginning Monday, May 4, 2020, the PA Department of Transportation has contracted with Derry Construction Company to improve a section of Route 8, starting south of Wildwood Road and ending just north of the intersection of Northtowne Square in Richland Township.  This project includes drainage repairs, bituminous milling and paving, as well as other miscellaneous construction.  

This project was originally expected to begin in March, however, was suspended due to the COVID-19 work restrictions.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS:

The following daily closures, Monday through Friday, will be implemented to perform this work:

  • Daylight hours from 9 am - 2 pm
  • Evening hours from 6 pm - 6 am

PLEASE EXPECT TO INCUR LANE RESTRICTIONS AND DELAYS DURING COMPLETION OF THIS PROJECT.
