Municipal Manager Service Award

The Washington D.C. based International City Management Association (ICMA) recently recognized the 40-years of public service of Township of Hampton Municipal Manager, W. Christopher Lochner.  During this 40-year period, Chris served as an intern with the City of Pittsburgh Planning Department and the Borough of Edgewood.  He also served as Edgewood’s Borough Manager from 1982 thru August of 1986 before being appointed Hampton Municipal Manager in September 1986.

ICMA is a world-wide organization with over 8,000 members who works to advance good governance by supporting and advocating for communities that understand the value of professional local government management.  They also represent local government concerns in the public policy area.

Mr. Lochner was accompanied by his wife Janet during the awards ceremony where he received his 40-year service award.
