Fire

On 10/19/2022 at 7:51p.m., Hampton Township Police were dispatched to Royalview Drive for a strong odor within a residence. Upon the responding officer's arrival, members of the fire department were on scene beginning to assess the residence. The reporting party advised that their mother, who is the homeowner, had advised that they started smelling something strange in the home at approximately 4:00 p.m. The reporting party responded to the residence to try and locate the source of the issue and stated that the smell continued to get stronger, so they called 911. While evaluating the scene, members of the fire department located a hamper of clothing that was smoldering within the home.  The hamper was smoking, and small flames were observed. The fire department extinguished the clothing in the front yard and assessed the remainder of the residence.
