On 02/03/2023 at 2:40 p.m., a resident requested a phone call regarding identity theft. The call was returned and the reporting party advised that she received a letter from Truist Bank informing her that her accounts were closed. She contacted Truist Bank and discovered unknown person(s) had opened two checking accounts and a savings account at Truist Bank using her personal identifying information. Truist Bank observed fraudulent activity with the account and closed it.
