[ARCHIVED] Christmas Tree Removal/Disposal

Waste Management will collect, remove and dispose of all Christmas trees placed at the curb in the months of December, January and February. Trees must be cut into lengths of no greater than six feet.

The Allegheny County Parks Department is offering its Annual Christmas Tree Recycling Program. Residents can drop off their trees beginning on Saturday, December 26th through January 16th at all nine regional parks during regular hours of operation (dawn to dusk). All lights, decorations, tinsel and stands must be removed from trees prior to drop off. The trees will be mulched and used in Allegheny County's nine regional parks. Trees can be dropped off at the following local County parks:

- Hartwood Acres - parking lot at the mansion
- Deer Lakes - parking lot by Veterans Shelter
- North Park - parking lot at the swimming pool
