Fireworks can be fun and spectacular, especially around holidays; however, they can also cause serious injuries and start dangerous fires. For these reasons, it is illegal to possess, transport, discharge, or sell fireworks within the Township of Hampton. Only with a fireworks permit from the state can your event include fireworks. Permit requirements include specifications on the launching area, the number of fire personnel that must be present during ignition, and stipulations on the presence of a licensed pyrotechnic operator at the firing. Hampton Township enforces the BOCA Code which prohibits the use of fireworks.
For more information concerning firework regulations in Hampton Township, please contact the Township of Hampton Police Department at 412-486-0400. Should a citizen observe violations of BOCA Code or Hampton Township Ordinance, call 911 for immediate response.
